What a time to be alive on the planet! For me, self-love and self-care have become even more essential. This is not about being selfish! It is about intentional self-love and self-care practices that support maintaining balance, resilience, and inner peace.

For me, these long days of light are calling me to connect and anchor the light with my peers. I found my time at a solstice retreat weekend a couple weeks ago so nourishing! Time in nature, reflecting, intention setting, and connecting with other energetically sensitive friends and colleagues fed my soul. Being on the deck at home with friends, biking, walking around the lakes in Minneapolis, and co-creating classes beginning this fall are a delight.
New coaching clients have started as many are ready to break through to a new level of alignment and empowerment during this time of uncertainty and unpredictability. We can all feel isolated and discouraged, feeling fear and tension during this shift. My client’s willingness to heal, release, take action, and claim their full worth inspires me daily!
Now is the time to accelerate and amplify our inner self-love as we envision a future where every system supports the flourishing of all life on this planet.
Here are a few more tips on prioritizing self-care and self-love:
Make time—Even in Small Doses
Schedule time for activities that nourish you, even if it’s just five minutes. Small, consistent acts like a short walk, a cup of tea, or a few deep breaths can ground you and boost your mental health.
Establish a Gentle Routine
Routines offer stability when life feels uncertain. Begin your day with a small ritual, such as journaling, stretching, or mindful breathing, to create a sense of control and intention.
Acknowledge and Accept Your Emotions
Allow yourself to feel and process emotions without judgment. Recognizing what you’re experiencing is a powerful act of self-love and helps reduce internal conflict.
Practice Mindfulness and Relaxation
Mindfulness, meditation, and deep breathing can help you stay present and reduce anxiety. Even brief moments of quiet or guided imagery can help you disengage from chaos and reconnect with yourself.
Set Boundaries
Protect your energy by setting clear boundaries with work, family, and social obligations. Clearly define your personal time and communicate your needs to others.
Stay Connected
Reach out to friends, family, or support groups. Connection, deep listening and being seen and heard combats isolation and reminds you that you’re not alone, which is vital for emotional resilience.
Move Your Body
Physical activity, whether it’s a walk, yoga, stretching, or dancing, releases endorphins and helps manage stress. Find movement you enjoy and make it a regular part of your routine.

Nourish Your Body
Choose balanced, nutritious foods and stay hydrated. What you eat directly affects your mood and energy, supporting both mind and body during stressful times.
Give Yourself Permission to Rest
Rest is not a luxury but a necessity. Schedule breaks and allow yourself downtime without guilt. Restorative activities like reading, listening to music, or simply being are essential for recovery.
Practice Self-Compassion
Be gentle with yourself. Recognize that you are doing your best in challenging circumstances. Self-compassion fosters resilience and helps you bounce back from setbacks.
Engage in Joyful or Creative Activities
Make space for things that bring you happiness, whether it’s art, music, or time in nature. Creative outlets can be therapeutic and help you reconnect with what matters most to you.
Utilize Professional Support When Needed
If you’re struggling, reach out to a coach, massage therapist, Reiki or Healing Touch practitioner, or your team who can provide guidance and tools to navigate uncertainty.
Start small, be consistent, and remember even the simplest acts of kindness toward yourself can make a profound difference!
